You could also become a Voicebox Ambassador for inclusion for all children and young people with communication challenges…if you could ask a key question (don’t worry we have a list of questions we would like some answers to) to at least 5 service providers and let us know who you’ve asked and their reply (if you get one!) you would qualify as one of our Voicebox Ambassadors.
For example:
- Ask your employer whether they employ inclusive practice for people with communication difficulties?
- Ask the leisure services you use if they are socially inclusive for children and young people with SLI/SLCN?
- Ask your school if they have teachers specially trained in SLCN?
This would help us gather much needed data on the inclusion of young people with communication needs across the country.
