Parents in Scotland

Afasic currently has two active parent support groups in Scotland. The support group in the west is based in East Dunbartonshire and the Edinburgh group based in the east of the country. More information about these groups is available via the panel opposite.

If you are interested in helping to set up a support group in your area then please contact us.

SCOTTISH STEERING GROUP

Representatives from the Parent Groups in Scotland form a Steering Group to inform Afasic Scotland's work. The Group is chaired by the Afasic UK Trustee representing Scotland.

This photograph of the Steering Group was taken during a visit to Scotland of the Chief Executive, Afasic UK. Seated (left) is Linda Lascelles (Afasic UK) with parents representing the Fife, East Dunbartonshire and Edinburgh Groups and Jim Munro (Afasic Scotland Development Officer). Missing are Jim McIntosh (Afasic UK Trustee) and Ann Auchterlonie (Director, Afasic Scotland), who was behind the camera.

PARENTS ONLINE

A parents online forum has been suggested to help parents make contact with others across Scotland - and further. Please register your interest on the Parents Support Form.
