Welcome to Afasic ScotlandAfasic is the UK charity representing children and young adults with communication impairments, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. Afasic is a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 3036802) and a registered charity (charity no. 1045617).
Afasic Scotland provides training and information for parents and professionals working in children's services. Afasic Scotland is a registered provider of Continuing Professional Development for teachers. Afasic Scotland has a range of publications for parents and professionals. Afasic Scotland encourages local parent support groups and works with them to play an active role in their local community, raising awareness of speech, language and communication difficulties and working in partnership with those responsible for providing services for children and young people. |
Afasic
Scotland was established in 1997 to help Afasic respond to the needs
of parents and young people in Scotland, work more closely with policy
makers, and target activities appropriately in the changing Scottish context. It is a charity registered in Scotland (Charity No. SC039170).
