Welcome to the Afasic East Dunbartonshire Group Web Page.

Afasic East Dunbartonshire is the most recently formed Afasic Parent Support Group in Scotland. It exists to support parents and carers of children and young people with speech, language or communication impairments. Everyone is welcome, from East Dunbartonshire or from further afield. We also welcome teachers, speech and language therapists, and other interested professionals. Our meetings give parents and carers a chance to share information and to meet others in similar situations. Our family events are fun for all the family - siblings too.

Please come along and join us, we will make you very welcome.

JOIN US!

Afasic East Dunbartonshire is keen to welcome new people. As parents we know how important it is to meet other parents and carers who understand our concerns and are dealing with the same issues - or have been there already and can help us to understand what lies ahead. A special invitation is extended to parents of younger children. You can help us by joining Afasic: the more members we have, the more our voice will be heard.

To join Afasic and receive the UK-wide newsletter costs £15 a year for a family/professional. You can join online using the link on the home page. Parent members are entitled to a reduced fee for Afasic Scotland training days. We don't have a local subscription: you can join our local mailing list free of charge. We ask for a voluntary contribution when you come to a speaker evening to help cover costs.
