More than 1 in 10 children and young people in Scotland are affected by a speech and language impairment which affects their ability to speak up for themselves.
They have difficulty making conversation, participating in discussion and in stating their case for better understanding of their hidden disability. Many of these children have difficulty in making sense of what they hear and in using their own language. These children and young people need:
